In-Home Services, Individualized Day Services & Behavior Support

At All Together ABA, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, fulfilling, and self-directed life. We provide individualized support designed to help people build independence, strengthen daily living skills, participate in their communities, and achieve goals that are important to them.

Through our services supporting individuals connected with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS), we focus on each person’s unique strengths, preferences, needs, and long-term goals. Our approach emphasizes dignity, choice, meaningful relationships, and practical skills that promote greater independence at home and in the community.

In-Home Services

Our In-Home Services support individuals in developing the skills they need to navigate everyday life in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

We recognize that each person and household has different needs. Our team works collaboratively with individuals, families, and support teams to identify meaningful goals and develop individualized strategies that promote independence and improve quality of life.

Our in-home support may focus on:

A young person and a support professional working together with building blocks

Activities of daily living: Developing skills related to personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily routines.

Independent living skills: Building abilities related to household responsibilities, meal preparation, organization, and maintaining a safe living environment.

Communication skills: Supporting individuals in expressing their needs, preferences, choices, and feelings.

Social skills and relationships: Developing positive interactions, interpersonal skills, and meaningful connections with others.

Community participation: Building skills that help individuals access community activities, recreational opportunities, and social experiences.

Safety and self-advocacy: Promoting informed choices, personal safety, decision-making, and the ability to communicate preferences.

Our goal is to help individuals build practical skills that can be used in their everyday lives while respecting their autonomy, personal preferences, and family circumstances.

Individualized Day Services (IDS)

Individualized Day Services are designed to help individuals develop meaningful routines, increase independence, and participate more fully in their communities.

At All Together ABA, we recognize that meaningful daytime activities look different for every person. We focus on supporting individualized goals and helping individuals build the skills necessary to participate in activities that reflect their interests, abilities, and personal aspirations.

Individualized Day Services may include support with:

  • Developing daily routines and functional life skills.

  • Increasing independence with everyday tasks and responsibilities.

  • Building communication, social, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exploring personal interests, hobbies, and recreational activities.

  • Increasing participation in community-based activities.

  • Practicing decision-making, self-advocacy, and problem-solving.

  • Developing skills that support greater independence and meaningful engagement throughout the day.

Our approach prioritizes person-centered planning and meaningful participation. Services are designed around the individual, with goals that reflect what matters most to them.

Behavior Support Services

Behavior Support services help individuals develop skills that improve communication, promote emotional regulation, and support participation in daily activities and community life.

At All Together ABA, we believe behavior is meaningful and that effective support begins with understanding the individual. Our approach focuses on identifying the purpose a behavior may serve, understanding relevant environmental factors, and teaching practical, positive alternatives that help individuals communicate their needs and navigate everyday situations.

Behavior Support may address:

  • Developing functional communication skills.

  • Building emotional regulation and coping strategies.

  • Increasing flexibility and tolerance for changes in routines.

  • Teaching replacement skills that serve the same purpose as challenging behaviors.

  • Improving participation in home, day, and community activities.

  • Promoting personal safety and independence.

  • Supporting families and caregivers in implementing consistent, individualized strategies.

Our approach emphasizes proactive support, skill development, respect for individual rights, and the least restrictive strategies appropriate to the person’s needs. When applicable, services are coordinated with the individual’s existing clinical and support team.

A Person-Centered Approach

We understand that successful support requires collaboration, consistency, and an understanding of the whole person.

Our team works with individuals, families, caregivers, and relevant service providers to develop goals that are practical, meaningful, and aligned with the individual’s support plan and authorized services.

At All Together ABA, we strive to:

Respect each individual’s dignity, preferences, and right to make choices.

Promote independence rather than unnecessary reliance on others.

Teach skills that can be used across everyday settings.

Support positive relationships and community inclusion.

Collaborate with families and other members of the individual’s support network.

Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needs and goals evolve.

We believe meaningful progress is measured not only by the skills a person develops, but also by the opportunities those skills create for greater choice, participation, and quality of life.
